I put two pairs of those in doing my great room and am very impressed when using the quality of sound plus the bass output (I don’t have a nice subwoofer connected).
Most are well made speakers and installation was easy when using the provided template. The swivel tweeter however did not have access to any relation to quality of sound at different listening positions.
After an evaluation with Polk RC-80i, I gives these speakers a larger grade rrn comparison to the Polks.

I have been nervous about installation having never mounted one before.
Web site provided worked fine, don’t cut any less space-consuming than the outlet you’ve gotten traced out. I learned to mow just not in the line for perfect fit.
I stumbled upon the very best tool for cutting the dry-wall was really a jigsaw blade in the vice-grip.
The connectors with the wires are an extremely high-quality spring-loaded design. Surprisingly easy for connecting he wires with while you’re on a ladder.
The cosmetic grill that covers the speaker can snap into place with virtually no tools or demand for the included adhesive pad. Even worst, possibly you have to pry or pound it in together with fist gently.
Sound great so far. Besides used loads of leftover inslation for the spaker from the floor joists to accoustically insulate them. May very well some these within my basement ceiling and don’t want excessive noise upstairs, so that i even used that thick lead-weight barrier material for automotive speakers above those to assist in preventing that.
IMHO, Yamaha strikes a good balance of cost, quality, and performance.

The exchange value is there. Pound for pound the most beneficial 8″ speakers I’ve ever owned. These cannot handle all receiver can push on front channels but excellent, clear & bright mids & highs. Need another pair.

The sound was surprisingly clear with lots which, for the retail price, was something I wanted to ask about. Adding a subwoofer can be complete the number of sound. Both speaker were combined with a 12 ft. by 18 ft. room and cover the complete space fairly evenly. The little speakers are cheaper but I doubt yourrrre able to cover an average size room with sound when going below a 10 in. speaker if you get four of them. You really should do this for movie listening but I’m sure only playing music so both the speakers works best.

The speakers themselves sound good. My beef is the direction they look. Through the my living room space so that i wanted something discrete.
Unfortunately the covers are the same shape as muffin tops. Would appear that my ceiling is often a haven for pods. I aquired a new brand for our kitchen which might be truly flush

Bought 8 for these speakers to search in the drop ceiling in the 35×70 meeting room at our church. They sound great and succeed with good bass response. We usually develop ceiling speakers to supplement fill to supplement some front speakers, however these prosper as mains as well. Good purchase and reasonable price.

These become excellent speakers. I’ve a Pioneer receiver at 105 watts per channel. Concerning run these so loud i can’t stand further earning you money isn’t one chunk of distortion. They mounted easily during the ceiling and appearance great. I have zero complaints and am happy using the purchase.

installation was really a breeze. Have installed them on just the outside patio ceiling so are going to see where did they endure wear as we’re outside of the coast. Very balanced sound and are best for my application that may be background mood music. Building excellent as you are able to epect from Yamaha.

Excellent speakers for those money. They sound very good. I’m not an audio expert… but as i hooked ‘em to my Yamaha RX-V1900… ;.they sound great. Many people complain that installing the grill cover is tricky, well, I disagree with they because I think this can be very easy to set up the entire thing… ;.such as the grill covers. If you need some benefit in-ceiling speakers… look no further, these are the basic ones you want. I’ll soon buy additional ones for my hallway and master bedroom.
